Library has no money to buy new books and magazines

The news that Kilkenny County Council has cancelled all funding for the purchase of new books, and has even been forced to cancel the buying of new magazines has been described as scandalous by Labour Party Councillor and primary school principal, Seán Ó hArgáin, who has called for emergency funding to be secured from central government to reverse the situation.

Time to end payment of Ministerial pensions to sitting TD’s



 

It is time to return to modesty and good example from our national politicians according to Kilkenny Labour Party councillor, Seán Ó hArgáin, who also called for an end to the practice of paying Ministerial pensions to Dáil deputies who continue to hold seats in Dáil Éireann. Cllr. Ó hArgáin was speaking at the A.G.M of the Graiguenamanagh Labour Party, which was also attended by Labour Party Ireland East candidate Nessa Childers.
